Haha..i dont know for sure if your being sarcastic, but i think he is a dreadful price because i think 3 horses have the beating of him, SOF, Eagle Mountain and Red Rocks.

I think this race respresents Ballydoyle's best chance of a win here with Soldier Of Fortune considering he hasnt had a long season.

Do you think they should have sent Young Mick over for this?

If Conduit wins this race I'll give up gambling. I actually think newyorktony must be winding us up saying that 5's is a good price. No chance.

I like Red Rocks most for this. Just had 1pt E/W @ 8/1 with Ladbrokes. Eagle Mountain feared most, and Grand Couturier could also go well.

Will also be laying Conduit TBP

With Red Rock Canyon likely to enforce a scorching gallop throughout, I don't think Red Rocks or Winchester will stay the trip properly. If they prove me wrong and do, then admittedly, they would both possess very good chances to land the spoils.

Soldier of Fortune is the best horse in the race, and despite the firm ground, only a 3 week break and the tight track (he won at Chester but don't think it played to his strengths), I still think he represents value at 9/2.

Granted, RRC could set up the race for the fast finishing Grand Couterier.

Regards.

red rocks will have a decent pace to chase after-he got it at churchill and this summer at belmont-in fact he got blistering paces both times-not sure he will get a hot pace

but the negative might be form

gc appears to like the yielding and it wont be that

am favoring eagle mountain as of now

soldier of fortune might not like the firm

"He's one of those horses, the ground doesn't affect him," O'Brien said. "He's very natural, and he keeps pushing himself forward, whether it's soft or fast.
"He's a very good mover too, he doesn't bend his knee much and he should have no problem with fast ground."

Aidan O'Brien on Soldier of Fortune, to Greg Wood in today's Guardian

SOF if coming on for his Arc run will be a force, but i think Eagle Mountain is the class act of the race and is where i've stuck my potatoes, might have a saver on SOF @ 4/1. I said it in the Leger and I'll say it again, i just can't see it happening with Conduit.

I personally think a lot of these will not stay, Soldier Of Fortune is the best horse in the race and RRC will set this up perfectly for him to play his hand. The ground isn't a big concern for me, he obviously won the Prix Niel on what was effectly fast ground.
4/1 is a great EW bet in my view, plus O'Brien and Murtagh are due a change of fortunes during the BC Meeting.

Regards.

I think there are a few -ves for SoF (ground, track, recent run in Arc) but that is made up for by his very fair price I guess. I would have thought he'd have been 5/2 or 9/4 favourite against these but it seems the market has the same doubts about him. Such a hard race to call; any of the first 5 in the market could take it. I just can't be having Conduit though - I hope he runs unplaced just to slightly vindicate me after I also wrote him off for the Leger
