Thank you. I'm not allowed to say that sort of thing because I am "biased".

I'm going the other way

6/4 for the overs is an excellent price, I thought it would be more like unders 5/6, overs 5/6. Looking at Portsmouth you'd think unders for sure on recent results, but Cardiffs games are totally the opposite.

well 4/7 was a cracking price...ensured profit on the day

Well played RJI

It started out a good match and the enthusiasm petered out after half time.

Don't know how anybody can say it was awful.

Turned the radio on when I got home and the neutrals were saying it was 7/10, which I would have thought was about right.

Cardiff started much better than we did, but we were probably on top when Kanu scored.

Second half was a bit quiet to begin with but Cardiff gave it a right go and there were quality moments like the ball appearing to be tied with a string to Diarra's bootlace and Distin's amazing solo burst from the back.

This is not with the benefit of hindsight but IMHO but the cynics were always going to say that this was a "boring" cup final unless Cardiff won or Pompey stole it 4-3 in the last minute.

Both teams tried to play football and there was never a case of either team putting ten men behind the ball and looking for an elusive breakaway.

Football is not boring simply because the big four aren't playing!!!

while it was by no means a classic, I agree with Falbrav in that it wasn't boring. It was a reasonably entertaining game which for an FA Cup final, is a rarity. I think Wednesday nights gam will be boring. When you get two big 4 teams playing against each other, especially in a game as important as the European Cup Final, they cancel each other out a lot of the time.

I watched most the 1st half and bits of the second, Cardiff really gave it a go and played really well i thought.

I agree that the final was a lot better than ones I've watched in recent years and I'm happy that any of the big 4 weren't in it or won the trophy this year.

And while I agree that Cardiff played well and above themselves I think that Portsmouth were just workman like. Taking the attitude that we score one and wait for the opposition to score is dangerous. But obviously effective in this years FA cup campaign for them.

Portsmouth defenders won the game really, I'm not sure why Kanu got man of the match should have been Sol Campbell IMO.

As for Falbravs quote :-

Quote:

It did make me chuckle, where's the end product ?

Nothing cynical here, the second half, except for maybe the last ten minutes, was boring and mostly played in midfield. The young lad from Cardiff made a difference when he came on ( James ? )
