Oh and is the admirable Kilkenny Lonjack out - not in the first three in his heat _________________ Greet people with four kisses - one for each cheek... Duke Ellington
So much for my wide runners theory. Kilkenny Lonjack broke well but was badly baulked and finished sixth. This dog is becoming expensive to follow but i will keep the faith. _________________ If at first you dont succeed..then skydiving isnt for you
No real shocks yesterday, that i can see. The biggest shocks to go out were Kinkenny Lonjack and Krytptonite. Loyal Honcho won his heat last night, which bodes well. I will try and post the draw for the next round later. _________________ If at first you dont succeed..then skydiving isnt for you
Heat 16: 1 Pride N Passion; 2 Jeffs Crystal; 3 Express Ego; 4 Forest Patriot (m); 5 Rocket Ricky (w); 6 Almost Meteoric (w).

13 – UNLUCKY FOR SOME!
They say that 13 can be lucky for some but I reckon a few greyhound owners and trainers would argue this week that 13 can be unlucky for some! That would surely have to be the reaction to the clash of four leading fancies in Heat 13 of the second round of the paddypower.com Irish Derby at Shelbourne.
Burnpark Duke and Droopys Wells are not bad greyhounds by any stretch of the imagination but they will be on offer at very big odds when the layers chalk up their boards for this heat.
Just consider the top four dogs chasing the three third round places – English Derby winner Loyal Honcho, ante-post favourite Killahan Phanter, Champion Stakes winner Shelbourne Aston and last year’s Champion Stakes runner-up Tyrur Bertie.
It really is the stand-out contest in the second round but there are many others to whet the appetite. Starting with Thursday night’s session, there is Heat 6 where fastest first round winner Ballymac Ruso will be opposed by Forest Master and Cabra Cool.
And what about Heat 12 on Saturday where Advantage Johnny will be taken on by Knowsley Jake, Tyrur Jake and All Heart. Then Heat 14 and the early paced clash between Tyrur Rhino and Slip The Lark. There are many more, too, in what promises to be a fantastic two nights of racing.
Latest betting from Paddy Power: 10 Killahan Phanter, College Causeway; 16 Ballymac Ruso, Ballymac Under, Tyrur Bertie, Mid West Blue; 20 Tyrur Rhino, Loyal Honcho, Forest Master, Wise Thought, Slip The Lark; 25 bar.

Yes heat 13 will cause an upset whatever happens. As the saying goes, its the luck of the draw. Incidentally, my long range pick based on the draw theory proved correct, with over twenty dogs out of 26 qualifying. All except Kilkenny Lonjack, the one i backed heavy, that is _________________ If at first you dont succeed..then skydiving isnt for you
I'm surprised he's still available at 50's after clocking a quick time in round 1, has Ballymac Russo in the same heat, but has sleepers in T1 and T3 so should hit the 1st bend in 1st or 2nd
