At first sight that race at Newmarket looked quite weak and winnable but in hindsight maybe we should have known that some really smart horses were bound to be lurking considering there was something like £500k to the winner!

trainers and the sales companies have really jumped onto this sales race thing recently, remember finsceal beo winning the sales race in ireland?

that was the first running of the tattersalls millions and already they have two group 1 winners come out of it! amazing stuff.

Lush Lashes won the Millions not Finsceal Beo old chap. As you're drunk and they're both Bolger fillies I'll let you off.

but my point was nearly well made though, group 1 horses win sales races

THAT'S exactly why I had my biggest bet of the year on Liberation

I mean you wouldn't expect two Group 1 winners to turn up there would you? Especially two that hadn't shown that level of potential previously.

Got some of it back tonight though

There's a good discussion to be had on the effect of valuable races on the pattern but that's probably best saved for a quiet night.

He's eligible for the US classics though. Maybe they'll send him over to Cheltenham after his stint in the US
