haha

"So will Calgary Bay win?"

"Probably not"

Brilliant.  Thought Cornas might come and give me a decent run for my money at one point, but a bad blunder ruined any chance he may have had.

Well done all those on forpadydeplasterer.

It was the best result possible for me as I have been lumping on Kalahari King TBP for sometime then came to the conclusion that FPDP had everything right for him today and was a really good bet @ 10/1 E/W 1/4 first 4 so when they Jumped the last I saw Kala. King catching but it finished the right way round for me.

Big night out in the Queens with FPDP owners - who will all be very rough this morning - lots of singing and counting money goiing on. (One chap picked up E70,000 from Paddy Power, needlesss to say he had a blond on both arms, looking expectant!

I did not back him on course yesterday as I already had at Christmas as 20s, so backed Planet of Sound e/w.

Barry also tipped Punjabi to our friends after the Arkle - but they were all too busy celebrating to back him or pass it on - gutted!

Hope some of you had him

I think the problem with 'tips' in novice graded races is that most owners of the fancied runners will be telling everyone that they REALLY fancy their horse and are really confident. I'm sure connections to Nicholls will be bigging up Tatenen, Murphy's with Kalahari King etc.

Not wanting to piss on your bonfire or anything but I reckon I'd take the tip with a pinch of salt myself unless they said something like "He has had a problem all season and only now has he come to himself" etc. Simply hearing "we really fancy him" is not worth much imo. Plus I really don't fancy FPdP!

Owl,

Alittle bemused by your comment which i have highlighted. I think 3 seconds in Grade 1 races probably represents the best form in the race. Thanks for the tip Phardy he was the 1 I was siding with, you have now sent me over the edge, I'll be on. Come on Pady!!!!!!!!

Jet...........

Phardy,

Thanks once again, I lumped on to the max having also backed him ante post in Lucky 15's at 16/1.

This race meant I was up on the week no matter what happened. What a horse. The form was in the book and he showed the guts.

If it was me, I would have had a blonde on each arm. Each to his own I guess.
