I enjoyed Sin City - very fast paced and all the stories intermingled reminded me of Pulp Fiction.

I didn't think I'd like "cartoon" type films but 300 and Beowulf are wonderful too.  Great to look at.

On a different note I'm going to see Twilight this weekend....

Will probably be in the minority of one here, but saw the Dark Knight the other night and absolutely hated it. Thought the much hyped Joker dead guy (can't remember his name) was good, but that's that, just good, not brilliant, not outstanding just good. Thought the 2 and a half hours was way way too long (by at least an hour) and also thought it took itself way too serious, the film-makers seemed to forget that it was meant to be fun, ok a bit darker than other superheroes, but come on!

Am gonna sit back and wait for the insults...

Pretty much agree with that (although i didn't hate it).

Joker 10/10
Film 6-7/10

But the joker was so good that if felt like an 8/10 overall

I think it was a decent film, nothing better.  Obviously the majority of the hype about the film is cos of Heath Ledger.  Yes, he put in a great performance and his depiction of the joker is a good enough reason to want to watch the film again, but one man's performance doesn't make a good film amazing. (usually)

It did go on too long, all the stuff with Two-Face at the end just seemed to make it drag for me, all the rest beforehand though in my opinion was top class cinema.

It was shaping up to be a 9-10/10 but ended up being an 8 or a 9.  It was better than Batman Begins and that was a pretty damn good film so well done to them.

My youngster wakes at 5.30am to 6am so been watching a few films before work recently.
Can't cope with anything too challenging at that time so have caught up on a few films that have been sitting on my V+ since last Christmas.

Flushed Away - Mildly amusing in places but much better animated films out there

Night at the Museum - very silly but enjoyable

Click - pleasantly surprised by this - silly plot but Sandler is actually pretty good in this. Its almost like a modern day A Christmas Carol. And Kate Beckinsale is pretty cute in it.

The Dark Knight is a good half hour/45 minutes too long with too many pointless set pieces.

Looking properly it's not the best picture - I was a bit last night!

Just seen Twilight  So good!  Romantic. Beautiful. Sexy. Cool.  Sweet.  I want to go see it again!

I'll have to get the book - I wish I was 15 - Stuff like this is too good for the youth of today!

Is Twilight actually any good?  I'm going to see it tonight and need to know if I should be on a sugar high before going in or not!
