I watched Network last night, easily one of the best films ever made.

"The first known instance of a man who was killed because he had lousy ratings."

I guess the film must have been well ahead of its time.

Which Ladyhawke? The singer or the soundtrack?

If the soundtrack - try listening to The Alan Parsons Project.

The singer, she named herself after the film.

Another one of my favourite films, I really hope it doesn't turn into a straight to video type of film, the first one is a real piece of work.

I saw Star Trek today - really enjoyed it.  A proper summer blockbuster

I'd say you wouldn't need to be a Trekkie to enjoy it - I can't remember much about the TV version.  I probably missed some in-jokes but didn't feel like I was missing out on anything.

It was very funny, quite emotional in parts, good action stuff - what more can you ask for?

Some good trailers too -
Harry Potter
Public Enemies - Johnny Depp as Dillinger

Looking forward to Angels and Demons next weekend

I'am too. I was bitterly disappointed with the Da Vinci Code so I really hope they do a better job of this one. I noticed that Dan Brown has written a new book that's coming out soon, The Lost Symbol, should be a good holiday read.

I went to see "X-Men- Wolverine" the other night, in place of a toffee nosed concert in a toffee nosed venue. Good it was, too!

Saw In The Loop on Friday night.  Really good funny (if a little immature at times) film.  There's humour in there for teenages (lots of swearing and one-line insults etc.) as well as quite a lot of hidden more 'adult' stuff as well. Very good film indeed.
