Went to see State of Play last night. Thought I'd like it but didn't. Absolutely zero chemistry between any of the characters on screen and it just didn't flow at all

Watched Donnie Brasco last night. Epic, awesome, amazing, great film, one of the best I've seen for a long time.

That's the one with Russel Crowe right? I was planning on seeing it this week, i've generally heard it's pretty good.

Yes I saw a few god reviews but it's really no more than a 3/5. One of those films that people who aren't that smart will think is amazing, but that intelligent people like me realise is no more than average.

He asked me for my opinion first - he recognises that there can be only one true god

Just got back from Angels & Demons.  I was actually rather impressed.  Decent film, nothing special by any means, but enjoyable.  Not too much has been changed/omitted/added from the book either and what has been changed arguably improves the coherence and believablity of the story! If only they could get a decent FULL cast of actors. McGregor, Hanks (although he seems to go through the motions these days) and Skasgard aside the rest were pretty poor.  Even so, it was enjoyable. 6.5/10

i watched the wrestler on dvd tonight.

has to be the most overrated film of the last 5 years. after an hour i thought "i have to turn this off" but persisted. very poor decision, ended up throwing good time after bad.

not one i can recommend. 3/10.

Saw the wrestler on the plane on the way back from 'nam and I'd say it was better than a 3/10 but def over-rated none the less... to think that it was being talked of major awards is well off the mark in my opinion... still watchable though so I'd say more like 7/10...

I also saw Defiance (very good), The Reader (pretty good but a bit predictable), Frost v Nixon (interesting) and something else on the plane (both directions!) so looking forward to next week's trip to America to get another 2 or 3 films in per flight!

Well I thought it was a cracking film.  I really enjoyed it and couldn't pick a part of it that was done badly.

i'm sure the purist would enjoy it, and couldn't moan about the acting, but for an idiot like me the plot moves slowly and predictably, and doesn't warrant the critical acclaim it's received.

3/10 was probably a knee-jerk but didn't enjoy it at all.

Watched Angels & Demons tonight, I'd have to agree with Flipando it's a decent enough film that stays relatively true to the book. They did a miles better job on this one than the Da Vinci Code which I came out of the cinema bitterly disappointed.

Thought the Da Vinci Code was quite good, but then read the book after (never sure if that's a good idea or not) and can see why some were disappointed.

Wanna go and see so many movies but have no life what with being a Nurse on the side.
