The kind of money that some people gamble with blows my mind. The most I have ever put on a horse was £50. It won, but I felt sick from the moment I put the bet on.

Same, my biggest was £65 and i was dead nervous for it haha.

No specific aim but would be disappointed if I didn't make a good few grand. Let's see. Kasbah is obviously key

The 2 things I like to achieve at Cheltenham are to be on that one STAT horse that sticks out that far that it looks the winner before the race has even started, last year was Fingeronthepulse and get that one bet up that not many other people would have picked, last year was Silver Jaro, the year before Mistanoora TBP.

I've had a few a/p bets on 2 horses really. Madison du Berlais who I really fancy for the Gold Cup and Traffic Control at 100/1+ in the Albert Bartlett, both on the final day. If they win, all my loans, and credit cards will be paid off and still have enough left over for a decent holiday and a decent Cheltenham fighting fund for next year. Will most likely budget for about £20 a day. That's really enough for me.

If I was a serious punter I would have walked away with 50K this week.

But I'm not a serious punter (don't have the cash to splash) so will have to settle for a new patio or something.

Had a great time folks, hope you did too!

Not quite 4 figures but not that far off. I expected to come back empty handed and im far from it so a good festival. The memorys of Wednesday will probably be with me forever!

Clew Bay Cove was the Stat horse that really stuck out this year which obviously lost and with nearly all the bookmakers having so many place concessions there were hardly any TBP horses that I could be Justified in backing.
The one i backed on the TBP as well as E/W was A New Story but thats because 1/4 first 4 was the best  I could see on the X Country.

Tues: -1.5pts
Weds: +96pts
Thurs: -40pts
Fri: -45pts

Overall: +9.5pts

Great racing but a very disappointing effort on the punting front. Thought I would make a lot on Thurs/Fri but they turned out to be my bad days. Must do better . . . .

I finished £111-99p up on the week which I am well happy with as I only bet small stakes.

I ended up with my stakes back (which i always count as winnings as was prepared to lose that) plus about another £20 odd quid on top. Had a couple of winners each day. Wednesday being the worst and Thursday being the best with the double on Imperial Commander and Big Bucks being the main reason for the weeks stakes coming back in 1 bet.
Loved the racing, so many good finishes and excitement.
Denman running well was the highlight for me.
