As someone who does take a keen interest in hot trainers this list would be a lot more helpful if there were figures involved.
Richard Fahey and Mark Johnstone usually appear purely because with the amount of runners they have in any given 2 week period they are almost guaranteed to get 10 winners but a strike rate of 10-15 from 70-80 runners isn't as impressive imo.
If you just put in bold the trainers that were 20% or better that would be far more helpful than putting the whole list in bold.
Just a few ideas and opinions... _________________ ROLL OF HONOUR

I agreee
In Fahey's case he has had 72 runners in last 14 days, 11 wins and 16 places.
just over 15% strike rate _________________ Geordie_R

Does anyone take account of placed horses in this? Agree there is absolutely no point in simply naming so-called "hot" trainers. WHY are they hot (ie wins/places to runs ratio)?
And there is another aspect - who is doing well right now may not give any pointers at all as to who will do well in future. NH being a "long game", knowing stuff such as N Twiston-Davies sticks a few in early season, or which trainers are good with novices, is as important as who is having a good time for a blink of an eye (1 week).
Knowledge is power - depth of knowledge critically analysed is even more powerful!
PS Tony Martin is having a mare at the moment.....
