Go Native as although he was beaten easily by Hurricane Fly he has obviously Improved and has that all Important course form. _________________ Forest are Treemendous
for me it would have to be cooldine.i've not been impressed with a novice chaser for a long time.travelled like a dream and looks to me as next years gold cup winner.10s isnt a bad price in my book. _________________ sticks & stones may break my bones but whips & chains excite me
What about beaten horses ? For me Medermit looks really usefull and I am looking forward to his next run. Cooldine and Mikeal D`Haguenet Dunquib, Quevega, Go Native, Kauto ( If he has a good start to the season ) Punjabi, ForPaddy, Denman, Punchestown, Big Bucks. The list is endless so if I had to pick two it would be Cooldine and Go Native _________________ If at first you dont succeed..then skydiving isnt for you
Kalahari King ran on strongly and is a possible Ryanair / GC prospect.
I try and find a current 6yo for next years GC.... anyone think of one? _________________ Opinions are worthless unless they are backed with hard cash.
Blimey, Findlay sounds very bullish about Denman for next year.
The only report I've seem of post-race condition says that Denman was very tired yesterday and Sam Thomas jumped off him on the horsewalk? What guts that horse must have - hope that he comes out of it well, summers fatly and tanks back in the autumn.
I must say my gut feeling is also that Denman will win next year and become the second horse to come back and win it
Mine too. He turned in an epic performance yesterday and I have no doubts on that showing he'd have won if he'd turned up with a clear run to the race.
Cappa Bleu (any 3m+ chase not the Gold Cup). Gold Cup 2011.....
I got back this afternoon and was rung up by neighbour with horses in training with Evan Williams. Apparently Williams is over the moon to get him and thinks he has almost unlimited potential.
We had a thread last year before the NH season proper about novices we were looking forward to seeing, and mine were Cooldine and Knockara Beau, so I'll stick with them. KB wasn't specifically aimed at Cheltenham this year and he's more a chaser than a hurdler so I'd back him to improve over some that beat him this time. Also Horner Woods. Only problem is where the 3 mile novice chasers of this year are going to fit into the pecking order of next year. As Jenny said re Cappa Bleu, it's probably going to be another year for them.
I read that Alan King was going to send Blazing Bailey over fences now. He should be capable of winning a few soft novice races if he can get his act together over the larger obstacles.
