wouldn't use betfair for multiples.

firstly, don't agree with the concept of an exchange laying multiples - and think the price deductions they make from the exchange price for their multiple price is far too aggressive.

secondly, the multiple bonuses on offer with bookies now mean you just have to take the multiples there.

this weekend i had a 7 team acca on football with bet365. man u, man city, arsenal, chelsea, spurs, liverpool, and villa. just under 28/1. all of these selestions were probably slightly underpriced with 365 compared to the exchange price, but either you can roll the money manually on the exchange and pay commission on each leg, or go for a betfair multiple and have value stripped from the price.

so, i went for the bookie's price, and things have gone well - i have villa playing to win me a large amount of money (to me) tomorrow, having lost a small amount laying liverpool today.

anyway, i contacted bet365 on their chat facility to confirm in writing the returm if villa win tomorrow (i'm paranoid about laying the other side then not getting paid) and not only was the guy friendly and helpful, he told me they would be enhancing my return by 30% if villa won because of their policy on multiples. fantastic offering. have therefore been able to lay off the other side and lock in a high percentage of what i would have won without the bonus 30%, with slightly more to come if villa win.

thumbs up bet365. my biggest ever win

Well played on the bet accajacca

I don't very often do multiples but I think bet365 are one of the better bookies. I know traditionally betfred have always had the reputation of paying bonuses out on these accumulators and lucky15's and so forth but I guess a lot of the bookies have followed suit now.

As i've said before I really like Bet365 - they're the only boommaker i feel any kind of loyalty to. If all bookies were the same price on a horse I would always bet with bet365 out of recognition of their superb service/offers/effort elsewhere. Mind you I've taken a good few grand off Bet365 this past year so they probably wish i'd stop being loyal

i do like them, but you may want to be sparing in your use of them if you want to keep the service for multiples etc - one of my mates who is very good at darts and snooker and quite good at horses has had his account limited to £1 per bet

my account is going to be a long way ahead with them if villa win tomorrow (my betfair account will benefit if not) but i doubt they will give 2 hoots about me winning a multiple. grinding away consistently being 5% better than them on horses is a different matter...

haha, cheers.

gave my mrs some money to put in the "buying a house" fund and told her where it came from and she had a go at me for laying liverpool and villa! greedy so and so

probably roll a small amount of it onto a man u to qualify/barca to qualify double, but not a lot.

This flies in the face of history. The home team in the second leg has always gone through. Barca and Man Utd have obvious chances, but will history be proved wrong two days running ?

Mind you, i dont like backing Spurs for obvious reasons, so i see your point.

alan, this pains me, but i got lucky. you should be in the final. barca looked mediocre - mainly due to chelscum's tactical nouse.

that said, i think the final will be a stonker, and will back whichever team is odds against.

have done the following for this week - i've used skybet as they are best price on 5 of the 7 selections;

Newcastle v Middlesbrough - Draw
Wigan v MAN UTD
MAN UTD v Arsenal
Newcastle v FULHAM
CHELSEA v Blackburn
Bolton v Hull - Draw
West Brom v LIVERPOOL

5-folds and the acca @ 191/1.

Does anyone know what happens if you have an L15 and there's one non-runner? Is the entire bet voided, does it become something else or does the n/r bet go on the favourite in the same race, like the Placepot?

I've looked up the betting help on Bet365 where I've placed the bet, but they clearly think there's no need to cover such a detail!

All 15 bets are treated seperatly with NR's - The Quad becomes a treble.  The trebles with the NR in become doubles.  The doubles singles.  The single NR bet you'll get back.

There's probably a better way to say that!  I hope that makes a bit of sense!

Thanks FF, it makes eminent sense!

It's an e/w L15 starting with Alexandros (missed by a tiny whisker!), Statute Book the n/r so will have to hope for Tastabil and Volochkova!

looks like i'm going to have a five fold up, which is OK, but would have been much nicer with one more result in. nevermind, if chelsea hang on to this it'll be an OK profit, which will probably go on man u to win the champions league.
