I looked at it Geordie because a few tasteless jokes are fine with me, what I found offensive was the repeated "Michael Jackson was a stupid f___ing n___er" post that was there every 4 or 5 posts and continually throughout the previous 4 or 5 pages, very few jokes, just insults about black people. That's what I was objecting to, I'm a big boy and I can take a joke, but draw the line at racial hatred.

We think the same way about that, but as "big boys" we should be acting against the people who spout this nonsense, not the person who pointed out its' existence (with an appropriate warning)

Geordie I agree in part, I gave the warning a cursory look, thinking "risqué?" but then when I went in there and about the second or third post down, the signature of the writer had about a 5 line signature filled with every obscenity you could think of, you cannot act against this scum, but having seen it I came back out and gave my reply to the post to show that there was a problem with that site, and that maybe, just maybe, it should not have had a link, that's all. _________________ WE ARE NOT STRANGERS, JUST FRIENDS WHO HAVE NEVER MET. |

I suspect a few of them will be too risque for this forum though !!! |
You are a site administrator yet you point people to this vile site, you should reassess your position. |
Yes, the grammatical errors and terrible spelling were painful; I gave up after reading the first page. _________________ "The Guineas are too early - I found two dead polar bears on our gallops this week, annd a penguin nicked my scarf"

Nothing wrong with complaining about the link. It was suggesting that someone should look at their position that was unwarranted Papa. I am sure if you had just asked us to review the link we would have done so. _________________ If at first you dont succeed..then skydiving isnt for you |

Please review the link. Even I was appalled by the hatred in it. And it is hatred. |

My opinion of him as a person will never be turned positive, but as a musical artist at least everyone can get back to enjoying his tunes now and remembering him as that little black kid with the wondrous voice. RIP. _________________ 2009 BCT Winner - Conduit

Maybe reassess their position was the wrong phrase, and maybe realise their position would have been better. Whatever, IMO, anyone else would have got a polite PM telling them to be more selective on their links to sites like these, especially as immediately there are posts, 2 views are thrown up, administration and or moderation, surely it could have been spotted as contentious. We get told to abide by the forum rules in all we post, and as long as even one person agreed with me, I am content with what I posted. Finally, the request for a review of the link, maybe, on hindsight, could have been done. _________________ WE ARE NOT STRANGERS, JUST FRIENDS WHO HAVE NEVER MET. |

Papa we do abide by the rules, more so than most. We are not adverse to telling each other we are wrong, which happens on the mod forum. Posting the link didnt break the guidelines, posting a racist joke does. So indirectly, we may need to adjust the guidelines. _________________ If at first you dont succeed..then skydiving isnt for you |

Back on topic (if we may):
What do people make of the promotors now offering a refund or the ticket as a 'collectors item'? Surely thats one big swindle from the promotors- the tickets have already been printed and paid for and would have been kept anyway by the user... _________________ World-Cup Prediction Winner 2006 (can't lose that title for 4 years!) |

no because you have to return the ticket to get a refund and of course ome lunatic will pay over the odds for these "collectors items"
profiteering frm the promoters and stupidity from the fans

I may be wrong but I was under the impression it was a loss saver from the Pormoters who will be massively out of pocket.
If in return of the voided ticket they can palm off a bit of plastic with a hologram of MJ dancing on it instead of dishing out a full refund that will ease the hit they have to take? |

Exactly what i thought! The tickets haven't been distrubuted yet but are presumably sitting somewhere ready for dispatch... The gig must have been insured so it seems like they are going to profit if people take up the ticket offer (rather than the refund) rather than break even following refunds via the assumed insurance... (if that makes sense?!) _________________ World-Cup Prediction Winner 2006 (can't lose that title for 4 years!) |

Out of pocket? I doubt it.
AEG and Randy Phillips will make an absolute fortune out of this. Giving the concert ticket money back is just good PR.
Did you see him on the news - he's still selling his product.
'I lost a best friend on Thursday' - 'Michael whispered in my ear the night before that he's ready' - This was Michael and going to be the biggest show on earth'
What he said that = a money making feast is
'We've got it all in the can and in a vault' ie film of MJ rehearsals with costumes etc.
Their only concern now is how to package the commemorative show.
Fortunes, absolute fortunes.
Call me cynical but Randy was replying to questions like it was scripted.

Surely giving the ticket money back is just something they have to do? Refunds plus sending out the tickets would be good PR but refunds OR tickets is a bit of a scam?
