I'm on big (for me!!) on Lyon tonight - could not believe they are odds against so have snaffled up some of the 7/5.

Hi NGreggors,

Just wondering, were you at the Crewe game on Saturday? I know we won 4-0, and apparently played quite well, but the BBC highlights i saw, Cheltenham hit the woodwork 3 times and seemed to have a decent penalty shout turned down.

I'm guessing 4-0 maybe flattered us, but i was wondering what you thought of us compared to other teams - we have Dario back in charge, so hopefully we are trying to play football again!

Cheers

LC

Luckily I wasn't at the game LC - I have been to just 3 home games this season as have been playing a lot more golf. Now the winter is kicking in, I may get to a few more but the motivation of watching what is currently on offer ain't great!!
Rumour has it that M Allen will be officially fired this week, S Keswick (v rich former board member) will come back as chairman and the messiah (aka Steve Cotterill) will be back as the gaffer. Not sure I believe all the above but I live in hope!!

I'm not supposed to be betting at the moment but the day at work I've had I couldn't care less. I've taken the 11/8 about Lyon to beat Liverpool

I like the look of his play too Kyle, looks like a stayer rather than the usual hang about until 22 and then move onto some low level team.

Are you not surprised this lad has not played more so far this season? (unsure if been injured?).

The arival of Owen may be holding up his chances a little i guess which is a shame, unless he has been banging them in for the reserves?

I am suprised, id of played him alot more. One i am really suprised abotu is Tosic, looks good for Serbia but doesnt even get on the bench. Iv said a few times i think Wellbeck looks to be a natural finisher so glad to see these two up top!

It is strange how some of these players play international fooball but no look in with their club.  Must confess i have not seen Tosic much and will keep an eye out.

feels like a bit of a dead rubber tonight for United, got draw written all over it.  Good goal by them though.

Since my first match in 1960 ,must say dont think I have looked forward LESS to going to a match than tommorrow night.
Might as well go as it could be Liverpools last champions league match for a while.
One thing worth a look is Lord Lucan is set to start ,sorry Alberto Aquilani
Sky bet have opened a book on what the missing link does first, they go..........
4/6 subbed
11/2 carded 8/1 scores first goal
11/4 plays an uneventful 90 mins

Its evens Shergar to play 60 mins or more

Skybet
Also go 16/1 that the invisible man and Torres both score.
I just hope he turns up!!!!!

Tough draw for English clubs....... expect the comments will be

'we have the away leg first which is what we wanted'

'you have to face them at some point'  -  (never understood this one as you don't necessarily have to face them in a cup competition)

'aren't Liverpool in this?' (GR maybe?)

The 2 Italian teams were probably 2 of the best draws for English clubs imo there league is one of the weakest in europe at present and our boys should give them a right thrashing.

There probably the 2 best teams that could of been drawn, all the other teams were top of the groups. Dont think either of them are that strong though. Only team i would fear is Barca or Chelsea.
