I fully agree that if the UK have proof as to who carried out the attack, they have a duty to pass it on.

Is this the same confessor who wrote a statement claiming guilt........and then withdrew it? if so, easy way out for Jack Straw. If it requires a further or new trial, surely that is up to Bulgaria to instigate it. I don't know if Shields is innocent or guilty, frankly I don't care, but there have been many cases of the wrong man being locked up, maybe this is one of them, so take it as fait accomplii

It's a strange one, Papa.

Graham Sankey confessed to it, but apparently a lot of the story didn't tie in with what happened. Michael Shields was also picked out of a line-up by 9 separate people, some of whom were British.

It's a big mess.
