??? i've already posted my congratulations on his horse racing thread a couple of times i think.

i just don't see the point of keeping a running total that is unrealistic.

I did say I am not having a go at anyone on particular. My view is that if the prices stated are as close to current as possible, then that is realistic enough. I doubt anyone posting about a system using early prices, including myself with the Greyhound articles, is guilty of not having accurately available prices 100% of the time.

anyway we should probably move the last 10 or so posts to feedback for article writers or something to avoid ruining his thread (sorry VS).

Good point Acca, it`s an interesting debate in its own right.

I have to say Acca does make an interesting point about the validity of available prices. I always try and get my own as accurate as possible, I dont think any of us can do better than that.

on my thread i just put the prices i am on at.

everton this week were closer to 2.2 when i decided i was going to back them. they are now around evens after comm, but frustratingly i haven't backed them yet so when i do i'll just record the price i get.

as i've already said my thread is more for my benefit - ie recording all the bets i make over a whole season - so to me its accuracy is important.

i think it's important to at least try and be realistic even if you're not backing your selections - the difference between 5/4 and 5/6 shots being recorded over a whole season is huge - a thread apparently in decent profit could easily be showing a huge loss in the real world recording prices so far out from reality...

I've always put accurate prices up as far as I'm aware as the majority of my bets I actually place and I put the price I took up.

Interesting your comments ,as you can see from my posts since ,they are all timed at the time I check oddschecker and in some cases if I have time, the time I actually placed the bet.
