Hi Jen,
Firstly, I DEMAND ( ) an apology for being ommitted from the updated list of interested parties on page 5 of this thread. Never have I been so offended in all my life, having already confirmed my interest.
OK - just kidding, as I can clearly see you're putting a lot of effort in to get this off the ground.
Anyway, based on the 250 + monthly costs share idea, I would probably be interested in 4 shares and maybe 1 or two more depending on whether we had a shortfall, or even less if we suddenly had higher demand.
Will keep an eye on the thread, but I assume some sort of meeting (whether over the internet / phone conference) would be an idea at a later stage.
Sky, sounds like a controlling interest to me! - hope we don't have Boardroom battles (actually, now I say this, might this be a good reality TV programme......?)
As you've probably worked out already, making sure that all expressed interests, opinions, questions and so on are responded to is difficult when this is all one thread! What tends to happen is that I TRY to make a list of interest/questions/opinions (eg NH v FLat) and reflect it all back. But I have to go through the entire thread to do this, and not surprisingly sometimes I miss something! Also, it takes an age.
I am actually talking to Skanky via the Feedback thread about exactly this issue - I am going to lose track more and more unless we can work out some system for keeping this organised!
PS May have found the first non-Forum potential shareholder - met casually in Newsagents!! Good friends, really horsey people (daughter does well in team chasing) so here's hoping! _________________ UNEXPECTED WINNER 2009 FLAT 10 TO FOLLOW COMPETITION!
Sky, I had a meeting or teleconference in mind. Might be difficult for those in the far North and far West, but I'm sure we could manage something in the middle! Day at the races as well.....??? _________________ UNEXPECTED WINNER 2009 FLAT 10 TO FOLLOW COMPETITION!
Us Northerners are never too far north when it comes to racing. Depending on where and when(weekends are best) we(toast, a friend and I) will try our very best to attend a meeting(horse ownership and race meeting). I can not say for my two pals, but count me in. I notice some are interested in more than one share. Lets get single share interest first. That way everybody gets the same chance to start with. Lets also cap the shareholders to 40.
I must also say the 40 shareholders names would go into a hat and drawn to see who are the owners on a certain day. Once your name is drawn its kept out of the hat until everybody has had a turn. I would ask to have a bit of priority in the draw, if for instance, three of us are travelling down from the far North, I would like to think you kind people would allow us the honour on that day. It may not be possible for us to attend every race meeting.
this accounts for 27 of the 40 shares. I have listed everyone who has shown an interest and tried to gauge how many shares they will likely have. It would be useful to know if people are looking for more or less shares based upon Jennys £250 up front fee per share and £35 a month per share quotes.

I've thought about it and you can count me in _________________ TWIST MAGIC. Obstacles can't stop you. Problems can't stop you. Most of all other horses can't stop you. Only you can stop you.
Dom, I assume 1 share? Please post this in the finance thread, which you might have missed because Skanky set it up at the speed of light - even I was astonished! _________________ UNEXPECTED WINNER 2009 FLAT 10 TO FOLLOW COMPETITION!
