The Nixon selection is a complete and utter mystery.

I think with Broad they probably feel his time will come. He did OK in the one day internationals in Sept, although a very good prospect he may not be just ready yet. Also Tremlett has impressed with the Acedemy and it's probably about time he was given a real chance.

The Nixon decision is just unbelievable - at least it may end Jones's time in the team. I should imagine Read will play ahead of him in the 4th Test.

A quote before said if hes good enough hes old enough, surely this is the same even if he is old? If he can score a few runs which shudnt be hard to beat Jones then im all for it.

Done the same as the football though, moaned at for making stupid decisions ie Monty in the cricket not playing so go OTT, just like Maclaren. Felt he would try and get on the media's side by not picking Beckham for the squad.

I'm a big fan of Broad and as I've posted previously he could develop into a genuine Test allrounder.

Just stick with him and with FF going he could/should bat at 7 or higher in the future.

Got to stick with Broad 100% - proper all rounders are priceless and having 1/2 of them in your team can make all the difference[/i]

Good batsman which boosts the lower end.

Bowling has gone slighty astray but will come good too.

Touch wood will be in the side for along time.

His bowling doesnt seem anywhere near as good as 6months/a year ago but im sure he will come good again. I hope it doesnt take his batting to keep him in the side but he is only 23 and has plenty of time on his side.

Yes, pet, I know.

But I was teasing by saying if this was out of form I couldn't wait for in form
