Hi Redeye... They could have a disc that you display in windscreen just like the tax disc.. No prob. Plus they can hold the data on a centralised PC.. They must spend millions chasing up road tax defaulters... Plus they could make the penalties stiffer for MOT and Insurance dodgers...

In Ireland I beleive that insurance details have to be shown in the car windscreen as does the MOT sticker here now - not ideal, but would certainly get around this issue.

I understand the argument for adding the tax on fuel - but with paying so many different types of hidden/unquantifiable taxes at least the Road tax is transparent - Not sure what I get for all the other taxes I pay anymore!
