Sorry for the very delayed reply - haven't really been on here for over a week, been away for a few days and ridiculously busy.
Anyway, even bigger apologies as I won't be able to make the meeting on the 9th - it's my niece and nephews joint birthday party and I think my sister would disown me if I missed it!!
I hope to be back on here more in the next couple of days so will try to catch up and get back with it - honest!
Will somebody be making a list, prior to the meet, of items that we need to agree on at the meeting ?
NoDough - see "Alternative to York Meeting" thread. We still have very few takers for York, for all sorts of reasons. I shall be going in any case, so a meet's always on even if there isn't a formal gathering! Keep watching the threads. Good to hear from you! _________________ UNEXPECTED WINNER 2009 FLAT 10 TO FOLLOW COMPETITION!

Disowning is no excuse! No, seriously, have a look at the "Alternative to York" thread and suggest anything you like (within reason!) _________________ UNEXPECTED WINNER 2009 FLAT 10 TO FOLLOW COMPETITION!

Sorry, missed the second point. Wherever we meet, there will be a note on position so far, agenda for discussion and decision points (I wasn't a civil servant for 29 years for nothing! Silky skills.....!) _________________ UNEXPECTED WINNER 2009 FLAT 10 TO FOLLOW COMPETITION!
I am definitely a runner for the St Leger meeting (York 9 September).
Unfortunately there are too few takers to justify a meeting room beforehand, but I will be only too pleased to meet up with anyone else who is going, and bring info and papers about the syndicate.
As I am a complete stranger to York racecourse these days, and as St Leger day will be crowded, can anyone who is going suggest a good meeting place? It would not be appropriate to wear the notorious Harry Potter hat, so I'll post with my passport description (grey, 13.2hh, Welsh Mountain Sec B) and colours later! _________________ UNEXPECTED WINNER 2009 FLAT 10 TO FOLLOW COMPETITION!
Hi Jenny - if you are also definitely going to Falbrav's Fontwell Firty-something Fiesta then I shall see you there and skip Donny @ York(although it pains me to miss the opportunity to see a classic). It is too time-consuming and expensive to do both for me sadly at this point in my life. I feel that most possible syndicate members may be at Fontwell anyway - is this your understanding?
Yes indeed! I am declared for Fontwell as well as York (nice all-purpose mare, you see!) York is easy for me because I have Friends in the North and I can stay with them and take in the Leger as well.
I shall carry a bit of overweight at both meetings (all those papers and stuff, but it would be useful for everyone to have notes and decision points).
See you at Fontwell!! _________________ UNEXPECTED WINNER 2009 FLAT 10 TO FOLLOW COMPETITION!
You are indefatigable Jenny! Look forward to meeting you at Fontwell. I do hope all your research is going to bear fruit in the long term. I am very envious of your trip to the sales and sent on your catalogue descriptions to my friend. She has what you termed a "gentle" mare - and she is thinking of breeding her (sadly not to a TB as she has an unusual, yet beautiful pedigree)! Anyway I am off thread so I had better stop before moderation ensues.
Just a reminder for people - I will be at York races (St Leger) on Saturday 9 September. I am meeting TTT by the winning post 30 mins before the first, and FallonFacta at the big tree behind the paddock at some stage.
I'll be bringing some paper on the syndicate, so if any others can make it, those are the meeting places.
See You Then!
