I haven't got anyone to run around for me! I'm just going to sulk for the whole weekend and watch the re-runs of York to see if I'm on t.v! That's how sad I am

I'm sad too - I promised a mate I'd get her hat on telly cos she failed when she wore it to Ascot. You get the odd glimpse of parts of me - no hat

Jos - Apart from your ankle did you enjoy Ebor? :sunny:
Look on the bright side - at least you were injured on the last day

Put an ad in the paper asking for a personal slave, tell them part of their duties will be doing your bets, and their payment will be 5% of your winnings.

I had a great time FF! Went on the Tuesday and Wednesday. Did you happen to see Clive Owen and James Nesbitt on Tuesday?

I only had one winner but I did manage to get on t.v! I saw myself as the horses were parading for the first race on Tuesday. I've not managed to watch all the coverage yet though.

We stayed in Marmadukes hotel and got back on Tuesday night and all the Channel 4 racing team were staying there. Alistair Down gave us a few tips but they came nowhere!

I'll definitely be going back to York and I think the highlight of the week was Alexandrova, she's a superstar!

But now it's back to earth with a bump as I'll be out of action for 6-8 weeks!!

Johnnio, with my form at the moment I don't think my winnings will be much!

Bad luck Jo, hope it gets better soon.

On the bright side though - at least you did it while cheering a winner home!

Thanks Chewster! Think I was so excited as I'd not had much luck all week.

Nothing worse than having all your plans mucked up on a Bank Holiday weekend. I think I'm gonna drown my sorrows and get piddled tomorrow night!

Life is definitely a bit of a bummer
When you realise that we've said goodbye to summer
The evening shadows lengthen like teenage kids
And it's sometimes hard to keep open your eyelids
You just sometimes want to curl up with a good book
And not give life or the phone a second look
But days are full of ups and Alistair Downs
And hopefully as many smiles as tired frowns
So enjoy the weekend with quality rest and repose
And tell everyone else to **** off I suppose
May you all have butter on both sides of your bread
And on monday a clear and focused head
:P

Aye, Golf it is a super day today. Wall to wall sunshine...... so far

I can actually just see the new wind turbine(I think the biggest in the world ?????) on the Beatrice oilfield from my office window. I think its 30 miles away . We are always full of wind up here .

Rapido
