Why oh why didn't the make the running in a stop start race! :x

The did it last time & it almost worked! :x

The horse pulled too much early & then found nothing! :x

I think it's time it's dropped from the list as I now feel it's going to find it hard to win with!

Hampton.....SAHARA PRINCE won a maiden Hurdle at 12/1 today.

Very odd to switch from aw flat racing to summer jumping ?

Alan - I had seen it had switched codes & watched it run well in it's first hurdle race & thought they must of decided as it couldn't win on the level to have a crack at the jumps!

Sadly I didn't back it today & it looked a poor race & on all known form the odds on thing should of won.

I guess it might make a low grade handicapper on the jumps, paying it's way in small races.

Jupsala Ran at Sedgfield yesterday. They must of exspected a good run as it was nibbled at in the betting with a few small bets being struck. Was bowling along in front until falling. I have a feeling that money will only be lent!

Alan - apologies - I missed this.

I'd say give Sir Rique a miss at Chelt. In fact I'd scratch him from the list as he's probably just taking up space. Hasty Prince needs further imo but that does not seem to be the plan so maybe he can go also. I would hang onto Whispered Secret after his good second behind the very useful Taranis - he may win or place next time out with conditions that suit.

Cheers

LS

edited - shouldn't knock HP just remembered he came second to Andreas at chelt. Also WS was second to T at Sandown - hasn't run since and we know what T has done since.

Don't take Sir Rique off the list!

His race at Cheltenham showed some promise.

After been out the back early he made ground under a thoughtful ride from R Johnson. Looked as if he might pick up the leaders at one point til the front pair quicken away. He stuck on at the one pace up the hill. Could be a better horse next year & go in at a nice price at some stage!

Hi All,

PUNJABI - I have been waiting for this horse to run for AGES - maybe it wont ever run again but if you take a look at its last race and how unlucky it was then surely it has an AW race at its mercy!!!!

Thought it was worth bouncing this one back up - great to see him getting the big pot he deserves today. I remember seeing him finish 3rd at lingfield and was so taken by how unlucky he was that day i put him in this notebook once it was opened, we've come a long way baby!!!

THUNDER ROCK won today (only 7/4 mind), but as I have banged on about before, this could, potentially, be a well handicapped horse. It may be worth keeping an eye out in something like the Swinton handicap at Haydock (is it still called that????). Hoping that is the reason it ran today to boost handicap rating as it missed out on Cheltenham as it was rated too low.

Cheers

Just to add my inconsequential view - the horse looks like a chaser and I would not write him off either...

OK OK fine by me......alot of horses will win something if you give them enough chances. I thought this thread was about horses people thought would have a good chance 'the next time out' based on last run.

Ah good point LS. Maybe we can have him as one to watch if and when he goes chasing?

I have one to watch but the trainer keeps entering him in the wrong races (too far) and then withdrawing him. So maybe I should take that one out or leave it with a trip proviso Too many questions.

Sir Rique is back in the list. The original idea was for people to pick horse to back next time out. Personally i always give a horse 2 or 3 chances if i strongly fancy it.
Dundoire great shout with Punjabi by the way.

I thought Lustre Lad ran a cracking race in the 4.00 at Exeter today. An 80/1 chance ridden by Liam Heard and trained by Anthony Honeyball, Lustre Lad travelled well before wandering on the flat and hanging sharply to the left.
If learning to keep straight in. his races, I think there is a contest to be won with this one.

I seem to remember putting King Of The Artic in the list. Well he runs in the 8.25 Perth. He won the race last year & looks as if he's been primed for a repeat performance this evening.
