Cheers All.

Just for the record (and becuase I am on a high) I had an £80 bank for that race today so I have taken just shy of £900 - makes up for the £224 on Teofilo. I drowned my sorrows on Thursday with Michelob - I am on my second in celebration now.

I was pretty confident two furlongs from home about Cockney Rebel - I knew his finish was going to be quick and he had settled and travelled - he came from such a long way back. I can't wait to analyse the time figures as I bet the final two furlongs were some of the fastest guineas finishes for a while. The Derby could well be a target although I am still 100% a Teofilo fan.

Thanks Again.

Yes Threeout, they must run him in the derby, its the perfect race for him. they can hold him up at the back and he will handle the course without a doubt.

Well done mate, have a great hangover tomorrow morning!

GOOD GOD THREE OUT, TOP STUFF MATE!!!

Whats all the fuss about Dutch not staying, I knew he would stay all along, by Medicean who stayed 10 furlongs. He would of won today if he was drawn the other side. I love this horse, such a beauty, I was on after the Greenham, 14s e/w.

Will win group 1 this season.

Tommy

Dutch Art ran a great race and prooved he stays the trip well, I also Backed him at 14/1. I was looking at the race before the off and noticed he was the only horse in the field that had won a group 1 race, let alone two. He had to be backed just on that evidence.

However, he would have beaten the winner mate in my opinion. CR won with a bit in hand to be fair. I really hope they go for the derby with him as I think they can hold him up at the back, he will definently handle the track as he switches off so well.

Dutch Art will hopefully win the Irish Guineas.

I think I shall pay a bit more attention to Betfair in the future. I had noticed Cockney Rebel trading below his market price back in February...thought it looked a bit odd at the time

If you fancy Strategic Prince Gorg, then you must have a saver on Cockney Rebel, who is 4 times the prices yet has almost identical form.

i dont think Teofilo will ever run again, makes you wander the way the team behind him have gone about it. my thought is he did a piece of work and ended up struggling to go with some of bolgers 2nd stringers, just didnt train on, can see the same problem with hre, not neciserilly but it wouldnt surprise me one bit. get on the prince, get on the prince lardiedardiedah get on that prince!

noted and taken aboard, £2-5 on betfair should do it

had a fiver on at 37/1 on bf, david you are a life-saver thanks for the advice, i would of been £150 down for the day but as it was ended slightly up and live to fight another day. cheers G_G

My cockeny mates backed him @ 35/1 on course following my comedy tips and much ribbing about West Ham.

I was the large bloke on the floor near the finishing line with 3 on them on top of me!

I am still half cut.

Night all

the surprise package could be Brave Tin Soldier. This horse ran in the Middle Park against Dutch Art and was well hammered, but that was on soft ground which the horse isn't bred for. Fast ground on Thursday could see a different animal.....but the Guineas clearly wasn't an intended target as he wasn't given an entry. The poor show from Admiralofthefleet and Yellowstone have forced Tabor to look at other options.

I was just looking over Brave Tin Soldier's form this morning, and a random bunch of other horses that I remember seeing running at 2 last year. It only ever ran at 6F, but on nothing better than good. Will be interesting to see it over further, and on fast. Cockney Rebel and Vital Equine both have reasonable bits of form that might tempt me into e-w punts in the Guineas.

La Prese would be the e-w bet for me in the 1000- always there or thereabouts in her races last year. English Ballet is another filly I liked last year, but not sure where she's being aimed.

Thank goodness for three out and Cockney Rebel. The horse looked magnificent and well done to the yard not only for superb prep but keeping their secret until the day. It was all there to see in the trainers pre race comments in the RP. Which I read last night

So glad someone here didn't have rocks in there eyes

"THE REBEL'S GUINEAS - HARDLY A CLASSIC?"

the headline from the write up on the Sporting Life website.

Was this guy watching the same race as the rest of us?

Does anyone subscribe to the full Turftrax service?

I'd be interested to see the relative positions of Dutch Art, Cockney Rebel in the race

Well he could justify it in several ways the odds of the finishers 25/1, 33/1, 14/1, 14/1. The time could be rubished as the conditions at his time of year are unusual. The winner only won a maiden before. The defections of HRE and teofilo etc etc.

But he's being pretty harsh, the fact dutch art finished where he did gives a solid look to the form. Not an outstanding guineas but better than average. I guess we'll only find out when we see how principles run in the future.

TGS

The time was exceptionally good compared to the rest of the card, and its being given hefty Topspeed ratings which look very justified. If you read the guys article, he's talking a fair bit of rubbish. He even seems to be linking the RP trophy which Eagle Mountain ran in to yesterdays race. His comments regard EM's performance in that race are wide of the mark, you only need to watch that race to see why.

this years 3yo looked on paper above average as it was. Timeform and co were giving the O'Brien team alone above average marks for greater numbers of runners than they had in the past.

I thoroughly expect this years 3yo's to dominate throughout the season. Last year we didn't see a decent 3yo/ 4yo+ clash until the Irish Champion Stakes. Bar George Washington (and possibley Araafa) the 3yo's of last year didn't look particulary brilliant.

This years do.
