Yeah, that whole stat about the NH Chase winner not going on to win afterwards is b****cks.
What about 2000 winner Relaxation. He won a race after winning at the Festival. Who comes up with this rubbish?
As did 1988 winner Over The Road (he won 3 further times), 1989 winner Boraceva only won a further seven races (I could go on) so TTT where do you get your info from because it is a rank source.
Think TTT gets his info from a more reliable source than yourself, cos it wasn't him that said it.
It was Andy on page 3 of this thread. _________________ Not as naive as some, but happy.
yeah roselier before you go off giving it the large one, it was not me, andy got his resource from some one from the mudlark meet up and thats where i heard it.
So apology please....
Thank you

Great Endeavour will either win the RSA Chase or Mr Pipe will plot him to win the Jewson.
Butler`s Cabin was exhausted again after his race today and didn`t make it to the winner`s enclosure, Jonjo says he is fine, it`s just something that happens to him . What a shame that he can`t go and recieve the reception he deserves, Sue
TTT I am sorry. I love The Listener (his half brother ran ok in the National today and would like to see The Listener take his chance at Fairyhouse next season) as you might imagine given my name.
If there's anything that anyone wants to know about four milers then I'm your man that's all. I live for them be it the Borders National, NH Chase, Devon National or Grand National.

Yeah, cheers Tommy. It was myself who put the stat up about the NH Chase. The person that told me that does know their stuff, posts on this board and is someone I like so i'm not going to point any fingers or name names. People make mistakes.
Back to the Irish National, ATR stated that that Cheeky Lady was put down and the Dobbin has a suspected broken arm. A sad postscript to the race today.

I demand their name. I've contacted the STAT police about this and I can tell you, they're not too pleased.
I am so annoyed by Stats, I backed Butlers Cabin at Cheltenham and listened to the stat rubbish and left it for the Irish National, looks like a horse that loves this time of year.
Sad news about Cheeky Lady breaking her back. And sad too, that they seem so unconcerned about the fact Butler's Cabin gets "over excited" and collapses on what seems a regular basis. At the very least you think connections could be prepared. Apparently because the on-course oxygen had been taken down to where the pile-up had happened, they only had water to revive Butler's Cabin. Perhaps his 100,000 bonus for winning today and at Cheltenham might persuade his owners to buy their own oxygen supply?
Why not?how many athletes do you see on the verge of collapse after a race but nothing is said about that being bad for them. _________________ sticks & stones may break my bones but whips & chains excite me
Connections are now thinking of next year's Grand National at Aintree for Butler's Cabin - if this horse wins, or is placed, and collapses again after the race, this will be front page news and more amunition for the anti-racing brigade. I too am concerned about Jonjo's attitude about the horse getting over excited; plenty of horses get over excited but dont collapse two races on the trot afterwards.

How many have you seen, I can't recall any of the top of my head !!! The nearest I can think of is amateur runners in the Great North run/London Marathon.
But this is horse racing not athletics, if the horse can't handle the races it would either be a physical problem or something wrong in it's training regime. Which means he's either ill prepared or not suited to racing !!!
