He said she was coming to hand now though, so I can't really see why she'd be such a big price based on that. Ladbrokes stand firm on 16's, too big not to have a punt. _________________ Some people (fools) said Katchit couldn't win the Champion Hurdle.
i have no idea and am a bit stumped myself,
are connections still thinking of running her in ireland instead?
I'm pretty certain she's going for the English, Gromero, in the quote about Haatef Prendergast says that he hopes she'll give a good, or something like that, which I can only assume relates to the English with the Irish 1000 not being until the end of the month... _________________ Some people (fools) said Katchit couldn't win the Champion Hurdle.
I was going to stick some money on her myself, until I saw Prendergasts comments, as on face value she looks way over priced.
Jim Bolgers comments were also quite interesting in that he expected the main opposition to Finsceal Beo to come from another Irish trained horse. He said that when it was well know that Arch Swing was under a cloud
I've taken some 16's, but not as much as I'd have liked. Figured that I'd wait to see if she turns up and have a small bet on at 16's, then when she's sure to line up go in again at albeit a smaller price, but it shouldn't be that much smaller when they've been so big for so long. _________________ Some people (fools) said Katchit couldn't win the Champion Hurdle.
Nice to see that MAGIC AMERICA will hopefully be taking her place - Thanks to Simon I took the 33's on offer a few weeks back which looks good now with 12's the biggest price available now. Trainer has a good record in the race and she could prove a bit of a 'dark horse'

Criquette Head-Maarek hopes Magic America can take the French trainer's tally to four victories in the Stan James 1000 Guineas at Newmarket on Sunday.
The Chantilly-based handler has already struck gold in the fillies' Classic with Ma Biche (1983), Ravinella (1988) and Hatoof (1992).
Head-Maarek has another live chance in this year's renewal in the shape of the quietly-fancied Magic America, a 12-1 shot with sponsors Stan James.
Second to Dutch Art in the Prix Morny last August, the daughter of High Yield did not have the best of journeys across the Channel when beaten in the Cheveley Park Stakes over six furlongs at Newmarket.
She soon cast aside that sixth-placed finish, however, with back-to-back victories at Maisons-Laffitte.
Magic America's most recent success came over seven furlongs in the hands of Johnny Murtagh, who again takes the ride in the 1000 Guineas.
"Magic America is fine and comes over to Newmarket on Saturday," said Head-Maarek.
"She has never run over a mile but that will not be a problem - she has a lot of stamina.
"I am happy to have a jockey like Johnny too. He liked her very much last time and gave her a beautiful ride.
It seems that Murtagh has jumped ship onto Simply Perfect for Jeremy Noseda, leaving Christophe Lemaire to ride Magic America.
Serve him right if she hacks up on Sunday
I really got into the 1000 last year but this year feels a bit of a Virginia Waters affair... _________________ Greet people with four kisses - one for each cheek... Duke Ellington

What do you mean by that?
Well I suppose I mean that none of them have stood out yet and grabbed me and it's a big field and we may get a winner where at least half the Rowley Mile will stand around going :
I like a nice tough masculine filly for the Guineas and I thought that was Sander Camillo and/or Finsceal Beo but now I am not sure. What I sincerely hope is that we don't get a VW situation where the winning filly runs her socks off, up hill and down dale, for the rest of the season with no joy.

Seriously the fillies are in the colts shade until you really get a good one. I've gone thru the 2000 with a fine tooth comb but in the 1000 I guess I'd be well employed paddock-watching.
Any fancies yourself? _________________ Greet people with four kisses - one for each cheek... Duke Ellington
Miss Beatrix is simply too big, especially after todays comments about her being a great shape. 16/1 is a total joke, should be at least half that with the form on offer that she has. Not that I'm complaining as I top up, cheers Laddies _________________ Some people (fools) said Katchit couldn't win the Champion Hurdle.
