Well the last big 'un did away with all the dinosaurs on earth - so maybe that's not a bad thing... _________________ Does killing time damage eternity?
I've just seen the advert for the Derby on the BBC ...
'Will this be Frankies Derby ?'
I tell you the pressure must be massive. The full page spread in the RP thanking the Sheikh for the use of his jockey. Odds on shot that the bookies will want to get beat because he'll be the house wives favourite, potential team tactics from coolmore.
It's getting better than big brother !!!
Anything is better than that trash.
I'm confused. Earlier today teletext reported Frankie wasn't riding today because something happened at Sandown, and his knee was sore. The story has now vanished.. Anyone know if he did ride today?
What Aiden O'Brien is running all 8 !!! I'd imagine 7 to box in Authorized and Aqualeem and 1 to cross the line first !!!
So Archipenko must be the coolmore first choice from the jockey bookings (Kinane) and Eagle Mountain second choice with Murtagh. _________________ Tricky Trickster - Grand National Winner 2010
i think archipenko will be in the first 3 as i think his the best of obriens 8, i cant believe his running all them runners to be honest as theres no way he has 8 horses good enough for the derby. but surely he is playing the numbers game and hoping 1or2 run well...... on all known form the favourite should win....
The article said that yellowstone is declared but he could still go for the French Derby. _________________ Tricky Trickster - Grand National Winner 2010
were see tommy i confident archipenko is obriens best hope but as i said were see
Doesnt matter what his best hope is.....Horatio was his best hope last year and Dylan Thomas placed at tasty odds.
They are not machines and this is not a numbers game. _________________ Pricewise + ValueScope = Steaks for stakes. Every Saturday a winner. Roll up Roll up!
Does anyone else think Kid Mambo has an outside chance? He appears to appreciate the soft ground, seems to have plenty of stamina and if he is ridden close to the front off a fast gallop he may be able to do what Dragon Dancer did last year, especially as it seems that he was beaten for pace in the Lingfield Derby Trial.
From the RP it seems that connections weren't happy with the ride he was given in that trial, and with Joe Fanning taking over from Dane O'Neill for the big one that would seem to be the case. 100/1 seems to be a decent price to me.

Hi Rowan, yes it's true...he fell off earlier this week i think it was and did in fact cancel all his rides yesterday.
He's been having people look at his injury, (nearly every hour i heard) i suppose he's doing all he can to get lots better for the big one _________________ The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket!
There is such a thing as 'Winning Fair & Square' no matter what price is on your legs!
Frankie Dettori, back in action at Sandown on Tuesday night for the first time since hurting his knee on Friday, took another day off yesterday but will ride on Thursday night at Sandown as he builds towards Saturday's reunion with hot favourite Authorized.
Having ridden four second on the Sandown card the night before, he gave up his five rides at Yarmouth and Beverley complaining the knee he damaged in a fall at Goodwood was still sore. _________________ The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket!

I thought Sir Michael Stoute doesn't want Richard Hughes on any of his runners but he's been booked to ride Arabian Gulf in the Derby !!! _________________ Tricky Trickster - Grand National Winner 2010
