surely the young fella in charge at liverpool has to play peter crouch from the start
just reading the young fella could start with kuyt/voronin up front, liverpool will win but crouch starts and i think liverpool by 4-5-6.cheers.archie.

a liverpool 6-0 win was 50-1,i know cause ive got the betting slip in front of me
7-0 was 100-1 so i guess a 8-0 was about the same price
anyone get on that score???
i didnt see the game has i was at the football but did the big man crouch play well??? set up a few of the goals etc with hes height.cheers.archie.

Crouch played well but Besiktas dropped the heads so bad in the second half that there's not much to be taken out of the game. They all looked good when full of confidence but you couldn't bank on them doing it in a tight game. Oh yeah apart from Riise was still rubbish.

Liverpool struck lucky with a dodgy red card ( two yellows) I didnt think either was a bad foul, if a foul at all. That said the two goals could be very handy and an away goal would give Inter a mountain to climb in the next round.

Chelsea should also go through with a win at the Bridge, despite Olympiakos`s away record. Arsenal could well struggle tomorrow night.

evening alansouthcoast
what makes you say arsenal could struggle v ac milan???
both teams play exactly the same formation with just one recognized forward
and if arsenal can get there passing game going has well has we know there can i think arsenal will win
i watched the chelski game tonight alan and i thought if avro had perhaps being a bit more adventurus chelski could of won tonight
last 20 minutes he brought on annelka on the left with drogba centre and kolu
on the right but agree with you chelski win win next time out at the bridge.cheers archie

cant see man utd been beaten tommorrow draw or a win and the big game celtic to push barcelona all the way either nicking a draw or a win.cheers archie.

HI Archie...Arsenal had a tough game last weekend and were very poor. They lost all shape and discipline as the game went on, the same will happen if AC score first.  Flamini is back, which should help, but Alumini is injured so Lehman is in goal. I think AC will be too quick for them myself.

A bit of a recurring one that. Lucky Liverpool!  Funny really as i thought they played very well for the whole 90 minutes, which for once this season was a very refreshing change.

Lewijay, they will struggle against 11 men in Milan, so the lead will be useful. Did you think the sending off was deserved or not ?  Once down to ten men Inter were unable to mount sustained attacks, Liverpool did play well, but it doesnt alter the fact they had some luck.

I feel Alan that in Europe this kind of thing happens from time to time, so yes your could say their was an element of luck wiht the sending off.  To be honest alan my post was a bit tired and done jsut after reading another thread that was not so complimentary, in fact i probably posted on the wrong one!

Do you really feel Liverpool will struggle?  I think we will play a very defensive/counter attack game as most teams away from home in the CL do.  Even Chelsea you could argue were happy to play out a draw yesterday.  In fact looking at the results tonight i would say that only Arsenal who lie top of our Premier league may find it difficult to progress imo.  I feel we have the quality and hopefully the confidence to ge the right result.

I think the 2 goal cushion will help Liverpool. Sitting back me be costly though.
The away goal should put United safe.
Celtic will struggle in Spain. They will need to win by 2 goals now.
Arsenal have it all to do in Italy. They still have the quality qualify.
Chelseas home form should see them through.

if liverpool score one alan,,inter have to get four  torres will be suited to the counter attack ,never forgive them for 1966 ,i was there when we them 3-1 at anfield ,went back to their place ,they rang the church bells all night to stop us sleeping ,shanks had to go and knock on the priests house to ask him to stop ,they scored a offside goal ,but amazingly kicked the ball out of keeper
tommy lawrences hand, and went around and scored and the ref give it  .i was waiting for the result late that night ,they were putting the highlights on after the wrestling with kent walton,it come on the bottom inter3 liverpool 0 ,i went to bed crying.
We would have been the first british team in a european cup final ,celtic got that honour the next season going on to win it.
It was later found the ref was bribed ,we need this win for the memory of shanks and to be honest ,i will be as upset as i was in 1966,dont think i will go to bed crying though

I thought i was mad having a bet at 3/1 away from home in the CL, but my madness paid off.  They were good though.
