the one that really appeals is the end of one-day nternational cricket; the 50 over game is going to be overshadowed by 20/20 and test cricket has to be protected so why not? _________________ Geordie_R

Good article and think the ideas he suggests seem pretty simple. One day cricket is boring and pretty pointless! _________________ Wolves winner 20.1.08
Unfortunately it's the current Golden Cash Cow so it won't happen. Ideal game for getting people to come to after work, lots happens, you can have semis and finals all in one day - it's cricket for non-cricket lovers. _________________ "The Guineas are too early - I found two dead polar bears on our gallops this week, annd a penguin nicked my scarf"

No, thats just what people who are stuck on there views think. I love cricket and i love twenty 20 aswell. It doesnt mean that because i enjoy the short game i dont enjoy tests as much. _________________ Wolves winner 20.1.08

I agree it is a simpler form of the game but the principles remain the same

No, that's my experience from non-cricketing friends who (aside from the 2005 Ashes) have no interest in the game at all but will go to T20 for a couple of pints of an evening or on a weekend. Because it's quick and flashy it suits people who aren't interested in all the intricacies, they like a bit of wham-bam-slam entertainment.
(edit to add - of course, I might have had a more generous view if Saturday had gone differently) _________________ "The Guineas are too early - I found two dead polar bears on our gallops this week, annd a penguin nicked my scarf"

Not so bad on a fine day but when they reduce games to shorter it's a complete lottery. All suits TV of course with wickets falling faster meaning more add breaks
