Well its the final curtain for the 2011 season and we are down to 2,The New England Patriots up against the New York Giants and a repeat of 4 years ago when the Giants stopped a perfect season for the Patriots with an upset 17-14 win with a late TD being the winner and being memorable for the "Helmet Catch" by David Tiree.

This should be another tight game with the Patriots being favourites but not by much and i personally think that the bookies have got it wrong.Maybe my pocket talking but they were mightily lucky to get past the Ravens in the Championship game and have had an easy season schedule wise so IMO they are favourites on who they are rather than who they have beaten. The Giants on the other hand have been up against the best all season long culminating in beating the top 2 seeds on their home turf just to get here!.6/5 is not a bad price at all if you like a single shortie.

As usual there is a plethora of novelty bets and so forth for this game but i find it best if you are not a heavy punter to have a few different bets to keep the interest during the game so here are some that might tickle your fancy,

An attempted onside kick(11/4)
This will probably only happen late in the 4th quarter if it is as tight as i think it might be but New England are known for springing surprises so its not guaranteed that the 4th will be the only time if any.

First scoring play to be a Giants field goal(7/2)Does exactly what it says on the tin.

New York Giants To Trail Going Into The 4th Quarter And Still Win(7/1)This is what happened last time and would be no surprise to have it happen again.

New York winning margin 7-12pts(6/1)These games are usually tight so would not be surprised if it was 1-6pts but 7-12 gives more scoring options and is my prefered margin in most games not just this one.

You will probably notice that most of these bets are geared towards the Giants but that is because i think they will win but if you are a Patriots fan then these bets are pretty much the same price for them apart from the Trailing into the 4th quarter which is obviously a Giants only bet.

Best of luck to both teams and see you all next season.

all prices are from Hills
