it is a great shame that his life has come to this. Tiger may be the best golfer I have seen.

Then you never saw Nicklaus.

The man is a disgrace. Drunk driver. No sympathy.

Dont put words in my mouth, I never said I had sympathy for drink driving, or for Woods. Just that it was a shame it had come to this.

Who was best comes down to opinions. Nicholas shared trophies with Player and Palmer. Tiger was consistantly top dog.

And Nicklaus, despite having two other of he greatest 10 golfers of all time to compete against, won more majors than Woods

Its not an opinion at that level; it's like doubting Bradman was the best batsman when the numbers are so obvious

Ah the Golden Bear.

Yes, he was great.

But did they have to lengthen the courses, tee to green, because of him?

Did Jack shine as brightly as Tiger did in his years?

The sad thing is Woods just looks like a common black thief in that photo.

and I'm sure a lot of the Georgia cognoscenti associated with the Masters will be commenting 'and we put a green jacket on that 'ni**er's shoulder.'

I've lived there.

Quote:
Not only that, he had become the first black man to triumph in the white-dominated environs of the Augusta National in Georgia. "As long as I'm alive, golfers will be white and caddies will be black," the club's co-founder Clifford Roberts had once infamously said.

Roberts died 20 years before Woods became the youngest to don a Green Jacket. He did so with the lowest score in the history of what had become golf's most glamorous major.
