Good Luck with Chilly Miss. I note was backed from 9/1 into 6/1 last week so value may not be good today - also RP selection.

In previous race Agentleman still a maiden but only 6 years old so could still be improving and off a career low mark may represent value at 9/1 ew.

Just back in from another all day breakfast at stables lads at Leicester and missed race. Another place, as stated before, always nice.

Havent had full briefing but they judt went too quick and trio not an issue according to Brian Hughes. I know James Ewart thought Lord Wishes voukd be the best horse he'd had at one point and may have just been very well handicapped.

Further  to follow no doubt. At least she picked up a couple of quid again

Chilly Miss has come out of her race on Saturday fine, she's just been down the road and hasn't cantered yet but Ruth said she is moving well. It was a tough race with the runners were strung out a long way...(click title to expand).

To watch replay of the race click here. Chilly picked up a little prize money for third place and again took everyone into the winners enclosure. She may have been a long way back but Ruth said Brian wouldn't have been all out on her, once it was clear she wasn't going to be second. She has been dropped 2lb by the handicapper this morning.

Ruth said Chilly made a couple of jumping errors but mostly her jumping was good. Coming down the hill for the last time she thought she had a great chance but then she didn't pick up. Based on the logic that Chilly seems to be beaten further over a longer trip, than she has been at 2m, Ruth thinks they will edge towards that tip for her. However, Brian said that she may get 2.5m somewhere else - its just the 2.5m at Hexham is especially stiff. Ruth hopes to find another race for her at Cartmel and can see tracks like Kelso, Market Rasen and Uttoxeter suiting her as a softer extended 2m. The race suggests that any thoughts of 3 miles have been put to bed.

Ruth was pleased with how Chilly settled coming down the hill, understandably she took more of a hold but based on some of her previous runs, where she ruined her chances by being too free, that was very good - you can imagine its quite difficult for them not to get lit up running downhill.

As Chilly has had a busy time of late, they will give her a decent break now and look to run her again in 2-3 weeks. Ruth said they will keep running her until the right race drops for her - not all her engagements will be ideal but she will have to keep running to stay fit, she can only edge down the handicap while doing so.

Brian Hughes commented that Chilly is "the toughest thing I've ever ridden", she just always tries so hard.

Alas we have reached the end of the road. Chilly has got a small stress fracture of a cannon bone which was probably sustained during her last run. Given that this was always going to be her last season and she would need at least 3-4 months off the decision has been made to call it a day. Sad but at least she is in none piece and ready for a new life as a broodmare

Same applies. Hope she does well as a brood mare and as you say she is still in one piece.

I never thought I was ever going to post on this thread again but
CHILLY IS BACK!!!!

Don't know exactly why she's not out in the paddocks but she  is back in training and hopefully ready to run in about 4-6 weeks.

As part ofvthe same deal also have a share in an unraced 4yo filly by Oscar who should be running in a bumper in the autumn.

Should be fun.

Good to hear Chilly Miss is back racing. Lets hope she can do the business for you before she retires.

So I finally have some info for you having finally made it to the stables yesterday. As you can imagine not many horses there at present.

Chilly is probably going to be running in 3 weeks time with a couple of raves being considered. Seems to have all her old sparkle and enthusiasm.

The new horse is being named Sammamish and will hopefully be making her debut at Perth on 19th August. All I know about her at present is that she is not keen on extra strong mints.

Hopefully more info to come!

So for the first ti e in over a year we have some entries.

Chilly goes to either Bangor on Wednesday or Market Rasen on Saturday.

Sammamish will be entered at Perth on Saturday but probably wont run. Might need a week or two more.
